Looking to make some goodie bags for your next school party? Thanksgiving is just around the corner, and we’re trying to give ourselves a good head start as things typically get really busy during the holidays! We recently created 30-day Thankfulness journals, which we think would make great teacher appreciation gifts. As for the students, we’re thinking of using the same treat bag template that we previously shared–but this time, with a Thanksgiving theme! We figured, why not make our own free printable Thanksgiving owl treat bags?
We created our free printable Thanksgiving owl treat bags in 4 different versions, so feel free to make your selection by clicking on the appropriate button at the bottom of this post.
You can easily make these at home if you have a color printer and some basic supplies. Otherwise, you can have them printed out at a nearby FedEx Office, Office Depot, Staples, etc.
Supplies Needed:
- Color printer
- Printer paper
- Scissors
- Glue / Adhesive
- Hole puncher (optional)
- Twine (optional)
These Thanksgiving treat bags are super easy to make, you can make them with your kids! You could also teach them the importance of being thankful while working on this project. A good Bible verse to pair with this teaching moment would be:
In every thing give thanks.
I Thessalonians 5:18a KJV
If you’re a Sunday School teacher, perhaps you could offer these to your students as a craft, teach them about thankfulness, and then have them memorize the Bible verse quoted above. You could even have them write in “give thanks” on the body of the owl!
