Make Your Own Tea Cart

It’s been a week since we returned from our unexpected trip to the Philippines, and while we’re still sorely jet lagged, getting organized remains one of our top priorities to get back into routine. The first thing we did upon arriving home was to head over to Walmart to pick up some essentials and our favorite flavors of Bigelow Tea. To keep our tea from getting lost in the “unpacking-our-suitcases mix”, we decided to create our very own DIY Tea Cart! The idea resonated pretty well with all of the tea lovers in the house… because we love to “TEA PROUDLY”!

During our trip, we met with lots of awesome people over tea. I thought I’d bring back this collectible mug to remind me of those awesome moments!

We love to “Tea Proudly” together–it’s like our very own “Tea Proudly” community.  My coworkers love to visit me in my office because of the “tea zone” I had created. From there, we’ll talk about our favorite flavors and recipes (and pairings) before talking about business! I just love how my little “tea zone” (and now, our DIY Tea Cart) connects people, invites conversation, and makes memories!

DIY Tea Cart – Storage & Organization Ideas

Our DIY Tea Cart not only shows how much we love to “Tea Proudly”; it’s also a great way to keep our favorite tea flavors and snacks organized and easily accessible! It’s perfect for entertaining or for simply enjoying a cup of tea when the occasion (or mood) calls for it!

Organizing the tea cart

Organizing (and decorating) our tea cart can be as simple as using mason jars and topping them with paper flowers! We used our electronic die-cutting machine to make the flowers–simply choose a digital cut file of your choice or you can use this free orange blossom digital cut file!

By the way, these 17-ounce wide mouth jars are perfect for storing tea!

Rotating tea flavors

We like to rotate the tea flavors from time to time to keep things interesting. Currently, we have Green Tea, Peppermint, and Vanilla Chai!

Bigelow Tea is our #1 choice, and Vanilla Chai is our favorite flavor!

Making Vanilla Chai latte is so easy with the right tea and the right ingredients. A little bit of toasted coconut milk and agave nectar + hot Vanilla Chai tea goes a long, long way! YUM!

If you love Vanilla Chai, you have to try Bigelow Tea! It’s a smart, savvy choice. You’ll smell the freshness and know the quality as soon as you open up the box (and foil packaging)!

If I drink Bigelow, I “Tea Proudly”!

Keeping snack pairings fresh

We like to pair our favorite tea with snacks from our travels, like these Lilikoi Shortbread Cookies and Hawaiian Shortbread Cookies from the Aloha State! We also picked up some Yogurt Almonds simply because they’re yummy.

Storing the snacks in mason jars helps to keep them fresh (and they’re just too pretty to leave in the bag / box)! We punched out 2 1/4″ circles to label each jar.

Using platters and trays

We used platters and trays to keep things organized in our 3-tiered tea cart. They also help to hold the items in place.

Here are just a few Tea Fun Facts, shared by our friends at Bigelow Tea:

  • Tea is second only to water as the most widely consumed beverage in the world
  •  82% of Americans drink tea—that’s more than 158 million people who count tea as a top beverage choice
  • Tea is now considered trendy (42 percent of Americans under age 30 prefer to drink tea, 27 percent drink tea exclusively)
  • Historically, while tea holds a special place in many cultures near and far, today we can consider tea drinking a proud American tradition

Ready to “Tea Proudly” with us?

Your tea cart is beautiful! And so fun. You’re right, it is the perfect thing to take out for when company comes over. Vanilla Chai is my fav, too! #client
