Get your teachers and volunteers all pumped about VBS before it starts with a simple team-building activity and this easy VBS Cowboy Photo Booth! The awesome thing about photo booths is that you can use them again and again! Kids and their parents (or teachers / volunteers) will have a blast at the registration booth especially when it’s positioned right next to this…
Oriental Trading* has a bunch of Western and Cowboy party supplies that inspired us to do a VBS Cowboy Photobooth! We didn’t really have to DIY anything for this one other than set up the black backdrop (which we already had) and a table for the photo booth props.
These large adhesive mustaches were a nice touch, especially for the teachers and volunteers. We just love the color variety–aren’t they a lot of fun?
VBS Cowboy Photo Booth Supplies
While Oriental Trading has a good variety of Western / Cowboy photo booth options, we decided on this one so we could easily repurpose some of the supplies into classroom decorations. Take a look at our supply list to make this photo booth for your next VBS program or Wild Wild West / Cowboy party!
Supplies
- Large faith Western cutouts (we only used one of them for the photo booth; the rest were used as classroom decorations)
- Large adhesive mustaches (for teachers and volunteers)
- Western photo booth props
- Western character masks
- Western bandanas
- Black fabric background (something we already had)
We simply attached one of the large faith Western cutouts onto the black fabric background and laid out a variety of photo props on the table… and the teachers, volunteers, and their children did the rest! It’s a great way to get everybody excited about VBS before it even starts!
Do you have any favorite VBS team-building / volunteer & teacher appreciation activities that you do in your church? We’d love to know all about it in the comments!
