Exhaustion.
If that’s what you’ve been feeling, don’t be discouraged. It’s but natural to feel physically exhausted. Let’s be careful of the Enemy, though, as he seems to like to use our exhaustion against us. He wants us to be tempted. He wants us to be discouraged. He wants us to lose our temper. He wants us to make excuses. He wants us to give up. He wants us to give in.
Don’t.
The reward awaits.
They that sow in tears shall reap in joy. He that goeth forth and weepeth, bearing precious seed, shall doubtless come again with rejoicing, bringing his sheaves with him.
Psalm 126:5-6 KJV
When we are feeling exhausted and feel as if we can’t afford to rest, we can always turn to God to recharge:
Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.
Matthew 11:28 KJV
He will give us the strength, wisdom, and courage to carry out what He has set out for us to do, regardless if it seems impossible. We can rest and recharge under the shadow of His wing.
Don’t be discouraged. By His grace and power, we can and will persevere.
He giveth power to the faint; and to them that have no might he increaseth strength.
Isaiah 40:29 KJV
As the Apostle Paul stated while he was in prison,
I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.
Philippians 4:13 KJV
Take action: If you’ve been feeling exhausted, turn to God to seek rest. Think about another person who could be feeling the same way and offer encouragement through God’s Word. It’s amazing what a single text message with a verse from the Bible can do! If you are going through a lot of troubles in life and would like to get to know God as your personal Savior so that you, too, can seek and find rest in Him, this page shows you how.
