Aren’t cherry blossoms just the absolute prettiest? Someone we know just came back from Japan last week and shared that they saw cherry blossoms in different hues and forms–some seemed to have “double petals” and there were beautiful shades of light pink, dark pink, and white. It was a magnificent sight and there were droves of people visiting the area from in-country and out-of-country. We hope to be able to visit Japan one day in the Spring and share this awesome splendor with you! We did get a chance to see cherry blossoms this year–surprisingly, on the Big Island of Hawai’i! Two years ago, we saw cherry blossoms in South Florida! Isn’t that pretty amazing? Finding them in the cooler areas of the Big Island wasn’t as surprising as finding them at the Morikami Museum and Japanese Gardens in Delray Beach, Florida. We remember it being pretty hot that day.
As I stared at these beauties, I paused and thought of our Creator. It’s true,
All thy works shall praise thee, O LORD.
Psalm 145:10a KJV
That means, if cherry blossoms can bring God glory, I’m expected to give Him praise and honor, too.
Let every thing that hath breath praise the Lord. Praise ye the Lord.
Psalm 150:6 KJV
Does my life exude the beauty that God breathed into His Creation? Am I being the Christian woman that He wants me to be, regardless of where I am?
Who ever thought that this cherry blossom tree could grow in a warm place such as South Florida and still maintain its beauty?
Am I able to maintain a beautiful testimony when placed out of my comfort zone?
Sometimes, I don’t need to be taken out of my comfort zone in order to sin.
Dear Friend, these are just some thoughts that I’ll be leaving you with today…
