We’ve got less than 10 days to go until Christmas! Can you believe it? Are you all done with your holiday shopping or are you just getting started? Trying to find the best gift for everyone on your list can be challenging, especially during the holidays, when things get oh-so-hectic! We were just talking about how happy we are about the extended holiday shopping hours at some stores and that being able to find the right gift to purchase at these stores is quite the relief! If you need a little help with some last-minute gift ideas, we’ve got you covered!
We went to Walgreens last week to buy some essentials during a recent Orlando staycation. While shopping, we couldn’t help but notice a nice variety of fragrance gift sets.
These Coty Holiday Gift Sets totally simplified our gift buying this year! We just found the perfect gift for a family friend who lives oceans and oceans away!
What better gift than a Nautica Blue gift set (which is reminiscent of the ocean)? Our friend lives in Hawaii, and we have been waiting (and waiting…and waiting…) for him to cross the Pacific Ocean to come and visit us here in Florida! We hope that he’ll remember us each time he uses our gift; we’d like to think of it as a fragrant way to remind him that he needs to come and visit us often!
Anyway, it helps that the Coty Holiday Gift Sets come in an easy-to-giftwrap box! We decided to wrap our Nautica Blue gift set using brown, Kraft paper.
Who can go wrong with Kraft paper? Any unique gift tag or gift topper would really look nice on it, especially if there’s a nice contrast or pop of color.
We created an origami Aloha shirt gift tag to complement our Kraft paper giftwrapping. We chose soft blue hues with lots of fish prints to go along with our “Ocean Blue” theme.
Making paper origami Aloha shirts reminds us so much of our childhood! If you’d like to know how we created our Aloha shirt gift tag, check out our tutorial, below. The nice thing about this project is that you really don’t need a ruler and pencil to mark / create guides. However, you will need to have a good eye for symmetry.
Now it’s time to add the Aloha shirt to our giftwrapping, along with some baker’s twine, a jingle bell, and chipboard stickers for the recipient’s name (it just so happens that Uncle Al also loves to wear Aloha shirts).
So, are you ready to finish up your holiday shopping? Check out other ways you can give the gift of fragrant memories this holiday season!
Happy shopping!

I love how the origami shirt adds a little handmade element to the gift set. [client]
