It’s hard to believe that we made it to Week 10 of Hungry Friday! Thanks for joining us, yet again!!!
If you’re new here, this is our happy spot for sharing delicious recipes from fun and talented foodie bloggers including a recipe of our own.
In the last 10 weeks, Hungry Friday has blossomed into a place that’s not only for finding and drooling over delicious food… it’s become a place for us to meet new blogger friends as well as introduce bloggers to each other.
How it all started
You may or may not know this, but Hungry Friday started when we stumbled upon A Gouda Life’s blog. Bernie’s wit, writing style, and delicious recipes never fail to draw us in, so don’t be surprised if you see a lot of her creations being featured over here.
You’ll also find Hungry Friday “regulars” because we’ve started stalking closely following their foodie posts. All of the recipes that we’ve featured over here, all of our Hungry Friday featured bloggers, have inspired us to pull our own, to make at least one recipe per week to contribute to Hungry Friday… thanks to all of you for helping us grow and learn.
Lastly, thanks for encouraging us to keep Hungry Friday going. We were getting ready to post on Facebook that we will be taking a break from Hungry Friday this week (until Andrew from Scrappy Geek messaged us back on Instagram just before we hit “publish”). I’ve been experiencing some vision problems as a result of a sinus infection gone bad. It’s been challenging to look at beautiful foodie photos with only one good eye and a heavy dose of meds. Promise I’ll see an Eye Specialist asap on Monday morning.
Anyway, we don’t usually write lengthy posts for Hungry Friday but this week’s post has become quite special to us–the one that almost got canceled. So, again–thank you for encouraging and inspiring us to keep on going!

Summer Beverage
There’s no recipe needed for this refreshing summery drink! If you can find those organic, cold-pressed watermelon juice drinks (we found ours at Costco), simply throw in some fresh blueberries and ice cubes and you’ve got yourself a 4th of July drink!
Entrée
Bernie at A Gouda Life did it again with this mouthwatering salad, adding to Bubba Gump’s long list of things to do with shrimp! Her Honey Sriracha Grilled Shrimp Salad recipe is perfect for any summer gathering, BBQ, or cookout, including 4th of July!
Frozen Treat
Now, here’s a refreshing popsicle recipe with a twist! Jenne and Mooshu Jenne made Raspberry Key Lime Pops with some added Vitamin C! Hop on over to her blog to find out which secret ingredient she used! We can’t wait to try these!
Snack
Get ready to decorate these cupcakes with some red, hot, ‘n boom! You’ve got to see how Andrew at Scrappy Geek made these deliciously festive cupcakes + the decorations he used to make them pop even more! Pop by his blog to get the recipe for these wonderful Red White and Blue Firecracker Cupcakes!
