Are you already feeling the holiday rush? We are! Maybe it’s just us–we’re super excited and equally super busy as we anticipate a double celebration: the Holidays + Baby 4.0’s first Christmas! Busy, busy, busy! So, how are we possibly ever going to get a head start on our holiday gift shopping?

5 Unique Ways To Send Digital Gift Cards

With our newest baby in tow + 3 other kids…

  • You probably aren’t going to find us standing in line at the Post Office trying to mail last-minute Christmas cards and presents.
  • You won’t find us braving the crowds to do our holiday shopping in-store.

An Interactive Way To Send Digital Greetings

‘Tis the season for digital greetings (again)… but this year, we’re shaking things up! We’re doing things differently by adding some fun, interactive features to our digital holiday greetings.

Would you ever send your holiday greetings digitally?

If you’re looking to send free holiday e-cards this year, check out TheGiftCardShop.com! You’ll probably love how easy it is to add a voice message or video message—all for free!

Plus, it’s nice to have a head start by scheduling the delivery of our digital greetings.

Some of our e-cards will also include gift cards–and we’re glad that we can also take care of all of that online, all in one convenient place.

5 Unique Ways To Send A Digital Gift Card

Sending digital gift cards through TheGiftCardShop.com is a fun, interactive way to spread the holiday cheer–and it comes really, really handy during one of the busiest times of the year! No more waiting in long lines at the store or at the post office. No stamps, no addressing all of those envelopes. Plus, we get to step it up by adding a free voice message or video message! Think of all the special parenting moments we can capture and share with this feature! We’re here to share 5 of them!

Idea #1: Include a baby announcement.

Expecting? Perhaps you’re ready to make that long-awaited baby announcement!

Why not include a digital gift card to one of the recipient’s favorite restaurants to virtually celebrate the good news? How about adding a photo of the baby’s ultrasound (it was just like yesterday when we first saw Baby 4.0’s ultrasound pic, above) or uploading the sound of baby’s heartbeat to your e-card… or both? We’re glad we can easily connect our Instagram with TheGiftCardShop.com and pull photos from there! We can add the photo above to an e-card template of our choice (below)! Add your own photo to your e-card at TheGiftCardShop.com

Idea #2: Capture and share baby’s first Christmas giggles (or other special milestones).

Had a new baby this year? Maybe you’ve got friends and family who won’t be able to visit during the holidays (Auntie, that’s you–and we haven’t forgotten that you love to shop on Amazon). The good news is, our aunt won’t be missing out on hearing Baby 4.0’s first Christmas giggles. We’ll capture and send it, even right up to the very last minute! Will you also be celebrating baby’s first Christmas this year? Why not capture baby’s adorable giggles and spread some of that cuteness even to those who are far away?

Idea #3: Sing a Christmas tune as a family.

Whether or not you’re the next YouTube sensation (disclosure: we’re clearly NOT), adding your own tunes to your holiday greetings (whether in the form of sound-only or video) is a surefire way to brighten someone’s day 🙂 Pair that up with a digital gift card from your recipient’s favorite retailer and you’ve got yourself a mini party (or concert)! We’ve been known to leave “singing voicemails” on special occasions for the special people in our lives. Well, folks–we’re movin’ on up! We’re doing “singing videomails” now. Run while you can 😉 Anyway, got any favorite family-friendly Christmas tunes to share? Feel free to drop ’em in the comments! 🙂

Idea #4: Share a video (or slideshow) of where you’re currently spending your holiday.

Upload your own video (up to 25MB) along with your e-card and digital gift card…then, throw in “Wish you were here!” or “Wish we were home!” as your custom message. Every holiday is unique and carries its own special memories… like how we spent the holidays on the road last year (revisiting our nation’s roots in Plymouth, Massachusetts), the prior year (going on a cross-country road trip from Florida to Vancouver, BC, and back, in 6 weeks), and the year before that (taking an unexpected drive down from New Jersey to Florida to help a sick family member).

Idea #5: Upload a photo of something that’s been on that person’s Wish List.

Whether it’s a public Wish List / Gift Registry or something that’s just between the two of you, sending a digital gift card to contribute towards the purchase of that [pricey] item shows that you haven’t forgotten! We personally know someone who’s been eyeing something on Amazon, so not only are we going to add a photo of that Wish List item, we’re also going to share a video message as a family wishing him a very Merry Christmas!

If you’d rather not upload a photo, there are many other designs to choose from, all put together by designers and hand lettering artists to make our digital holiday greetings unique.

Here are some screen shots of how easy it is to use TheGiftCardShop.com to send digital gift cards:

When we’re feeling too “shy” to send a video or voice message with our e-card, we can always do it the old fashioned way and send a paper card from TheGiftCardShop.com… but, probably not after we’ve sent an interactive digital photobook (!!!) or personalized video greeting from their website (we’ll work on this next).

Knowing our family, they’re probably going to ask for more interactive e-cards, digital photobooks, and video greetings (bet they’ll send us those ~gentle~ reminders / nudges to send more), because it’s really so much fun! Good thing we can get this done, all on the same website.

Which would you rather send: a paper card, e-card, video greeting, or digital photobook?

Regardless of your choice, all of them are super easy to make–and if you hurry, you can save and get a $5 eBay gift card if you purchase a $100 eBay gift card on TheGiftCardShop.com by November 22, 2015!*

*While supplies last. Limit one offer per customer.

So, are you ready to jazz up your digital gift card giving this holiday season?

These are fantastic ideas! I guess I never have thought to send a digital gift card, so this post is really getting my mind wandering. Thanks for linking up to the Sunshine Life Link Up!
