Here’s a surfer / beach lover kind of spin on the “Baby On Board” idea 😉 We’ve been having a lot of fun with our surfer owl collection lately even if we’re not surfers. Maybe it’s because we used to live in Hawai’i… or that we’re secretly hoping we and / or our children would learn how to surf one day. Perhaps it’s because we recently watched Soul Surfer during one of our recent road trips. Bethany Hamilton is such an inspiration, isn’t she? Her faith in God despite her situation is very uplifting! Here’s one of her quotes from the movie:
I don’t need easy. I just need possible.
Bethany suffered from a shark attack and lost her left arm in 2003. She maintained her faith and pushed even harder to fulfill her dream, resulting in a powerful comeback and victory in professional surfing. It’s amazing what God can do in and through us with His power! She reminds us of this verse from Scripture,
I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.
Philippians 4:13 KJV
Anyway, we created a set of free printable baby announcement surfer owls to share with you today! We wish we could have thought of this sooner (these would look so cute on maternity tees)! Thankfully, they’re quite versatile and could still be used after the baby is born.
Future Project Ideas: We’re thinking of printing these out on Cricut’s Printable Stickers (for car decals) as well as on their Printable Iron-On sheet (to add some character to our plain black Moby wrap / baby carrier) to see how they would turn out.
Each label has a 2-inch diameter, so you will get 12 labels for each 8.5 x 11 sheet. You can easily print them out as stickers by feeding full sheet labels through the printer or you can print them out on card stock if you plan on using them as gift tags, cupcake toppers, etc. Simply cut them out using scissors or a 2-inch circle craft punch.
