It’s not officially the Fall yet, but we’re already celebrating the season with a Fall Harvest Party! This Fall is going to be very special for us, and we can’t wait to share the announcement with you real soon! We decided to go with a tablescape that’s both simple and elegant, without losing the down-to-earth feel that makes our guests feel right at home. You’ll know that the Fall has arrived as soon as you step inside and get a whiff of the beautiful aroma coming from the pumpkin cheesecake and toasted pecans!
It’s never too early or too late to celebrate! God has blessed us with His bounty and has answered a two-year-long prayer request that could’ve happened last year (when it was supposedly due). Instead, He chose to postpone it to this year for all of His perfect reasons–and for that, we are thankful!
Fall Harvest Party Details
It’s all in the details! Whether you simply want to change up your dining room decor or throw a simple but elegant party for your guests, here are some of the key elements that we used so that you can get a similar look!
The Tablescape Basics
When we think of the Fall Harvest, we think of pumpkins, earthy floral tones, mason jars or milk bottles, burlap, and lace. We used a handmade table runner made with burlap and just the right amount of lace, and topped it with a very simple earthy floral centerpiece. The muted yellow and orange pumpkins completed the look as they complemented the bright colors of the small flowers in the center. These elements matched the distressed dining table and chairs perfectly!
Elegant Neutrals
The neutral colors on the dining ware give our tablescape a warm and welcoming feel while the subtle florals and flourishes add a touch of elegance that’s pleasing to the eye. We made our own complementing dinner napkins by using our Cricut Machine to cut out the iron-on vinyl designs from Cricut Design Space.
Slow Cooker Taco Soup
With the rainy weather that’s been happening around us lately, an easy recipe for soup is in order. We made a diabetic-friendly slow cooker taco soup that you can easily prepare just a few hours before company arrives, but you can certainly use any hearty soup recipe of your choice! Sweetened / Unsweetened Iced Tea Served In Mason Jars
We offered both sweetened and unsweetened ice tea served in mason jars as we have guests who are cutting back on sugar. Love how the color blends in so beautifully with our color scheme!
The Dessert Nook
Instead of a dessert table, we reserved a small area for the cheesecake! We served homemade pumpkin cheesecake, but store-bought ones work just fine! Feel free to check out our Layered Mocha Hazelnut Cheesecake recipe if you’re feeling a bit inspired by caffeine!
Anyway, we carried the tablescape theme over to our “dessert nook”, adding in some burlap, small flowers, cinnamon sticks in a mason jar, a lantern, and other accents. The wooden cake stand and large wood slice added both height and character.
Pecan Praline Pumpkin Cheesecake
We made a delicious Pecan Praline Pumpkin Cheesecake for our guests. It’s got a beautiful caramel glaze that’s topped with toasted pecans!
You just know that great things are about to happen once you open up the oven and catch a whiff of those toasted pecans. Fall is definitely in the air!
