We’re having avocados for breakfast… again! We loved our Avocado Coffee Smoothie recipe so much that we decided to make dairy-free, Avocado Chocolate Overnight Oats, next! It’s so creamy, delicious, and satisfying–a great way to manage hunger! We’re not only sharing the overnight recipe version with you, by the way. If you need to make this delicious oatmeal in a pinch, we found an alternative way to make it!
Our secret behind this extra creamy, dairy-free recipe = avocado + Silk® Vanilla Almond Creamer.
We were super happy to find Silk® Vanilla Almond Creamer and Silk® Caramel Almond Creamer while picking up some groceries at Walmart! These simple, delicious products have the goodness of Silk, in coffee creamer form!
Why do we love these Silk® Almond Creamers so much? Not only are they dairy-free (with flavors as good as the ingredients they’re made from–no artificial flavors or colors), they’re also free of lactose, gluten, casein, egg, peanut and carrageenan! Recipe: Creamy Avocado Chocolate Overnight Oats {Dairy-Free}
Make these deliciously creamy Avocado Chocolate Overnight Oats–they’re great for breakfast or an afternoon snack! Use Silk® Vanilla Almond Creamer to swirl in a nutty flavor + hint of vanilla (with a subtle sweetness) that’s completely dairy-free.
Servings: 4 (1 cup per serving)
Prep Time: 5 – 10 minutes
Chill Time: 4 hours (or overnight)
Total Time: 4 hours 10 minutes
Ingredients
- 2 ripe medium avocados
- 1 cup Silk® Vanilla Almond Creamer
- 1 cup water
- 3 cups rolled oats
- 4 tsp organic raw cacao powder
- 4 tsp organic raw cacao nibs (optional)
- Your choice sweetener, to taste
Directions
- Pour all ingredients in a blender
- Pulse until combined (without totally disintegrating the oats)
- Pour into mason jars and refrigerate for 4 hours (or overnight)
- Top with avocado slides and organic raw cacao nibs / granola / coconut flakes, if desired
Yum!
If you don’t have 4 hours (or overnight) to spare…
… You can also use instant oatmeal (we like the maple and brown sugar flavored one) in place of the rolled oats. Let it set for approximately 30 minutes before serving. That’s it!
